SEVILLA

Mix of bright yellow and red colours reminiscent of the drizzling hot Spanish city of Sevilla.

£24.99 the lot of 3 skeins.

To benefit from the 10% discount (excl. postage), email me directly (contact.lestitch@gmail.com).

Three small skeins of luxury and soft fine yarn. I first dyed the tops which I then carded and spun smoothly using a wheel. The spun is slightly uneven making it a novelty yarn that surely will be the star of the your yarn basket. The resulting yarn is a fine 2-ply yarn.

Each skein is unique and made from different blends of wool:
- the smallest skein is made from a blend of mohair (red colour) and wool (yellow): 9 metres (9 yards) = 5 grammes
- the mostly yellow skein is made mixing wool and two-threaded cotton: 56 m (61 y) = 16 grammes
- the mostly red skein is made from corriedale wool: 33 m (36 y) = 19 grammes

These would be perfect to use as an accent yarn as they are quite small. The wool is a fine 2-ply type, requiring needles sized 2 or 3mm

Handwash only at room temperature with a mild detergent, otherwise the fibre will felt.

TUTTI FRUTTI

These are all the colours of the rainbow in one skein! Multicoloured handdyed yarn handspun by myself using a drop spindle.

£11.99 the skein.

To benefit from the 10% discount (excl. postage), email me directly (contact.lestitch@gmail.com).

A unique small skein of luxury and soft merino yarn. The tops were first dyed, which I then spun smoothly into yarn using my spindle. This is the traditional way of spinning yarn, which dates back from Antiquity. The spun of the fibre is uneven making it a novelty yarn that surely will be the star of the your yarn basket.

The skein is made from 100% merino tops carded together to create this multi-coloured effect. It is a 2-ply yarn which tends to be on the chunky side.

27 grammes = about 32 metres (equivalent to about 35 yards).

These would be perfect to use as an accent yarn as the skein is quite mini.

Handwash only at room temperature with a mild detergent, otherwise the fibre will felt.

Not the rainbow that appears after rain. Not all. But Arc-en-ciel as in the most beautiful fish in the ocean world who knew about his beauty and was boasting too much about it. You've got it, it's a toddler book published in the early 1990s. The colours of this yarn are reminiscent of this beautifully illustrated watercolour book.

Due to the age of the wool, the yarn might show little signs of wear off in some places. This does not alter the high quality of the wool which has retained its softness, bounce and flawless cream colour.

Handwash only. Wash before first use.

Needle size recommendations: about 6 mm (equivalent to UK4 or US10)
Why would valentine have to be red? Why not be it blue instead. Not only one shade of blue, but at least 5, 6 or even 7 shades of blue, with a pinch of black and a dash of off-white (natural wool colour).

If you have a toddler at home and you happen to be French, you know that "le boudoir" is your most invaluable ally during teething times.

A gradient green going from dark to almost off-white, reminiscent of a fennel. But a yarn coloured from a green veg would be too boring and off-putting, so let's funk it up and add some cool speckles in pink, yellow and black.

corolaine has released Soir de Paris, available on Etsy.

A new colourway that mixes very dark, almost black purple and old pink. A colourway reminiscent of Paris, and the Parisian grandes madames in particular. From the 1930-1940s to be a tad precise. Just like my granny who wore the Bourjois perfume named the same way.

The 50 gram skeins of organic pure wool are available in both llanwenog and merino.

Le Stich is proud to announce the opening of her new, and first ever, Etsy shop! You can also follow my colourful adventure on Instagram @cor_o_laine

Cor-O-Laine is the wool child of Le Stitch, a French indie dyer living in London, married to a Portuguese. Not surprising then that each wool is colour-designed with this combined heritage and culture in mind.

The idea of corolaine originated from a personal exasperation from mass-market wool providers. I was not happy never knowing where the wool came from, never satisfied with colour choices, and never having a clue what the dyeing process involved.

In response to that, I have developed my own range of wool, which I have personally selected from certified farms and suppliers. Each skein of wool has been dyed using environmental-friendly methods.
